I have decided to raise funds for the Japanese Mental Illness Foundation after hearing about Logan Paul’s video which contained racism, disrespect, and mockery of Aokigahara, the “suicide forest” in Japan. His video’s purpose, he said, was to raise awareness of mental illness. I disagree. Just like many other people, I wish to have Logan Paul banned from YouTube. However, I think making an impact on the mental illness community is a bigger and better step. There were 21,764 suicides in Japan in 2016. It has been decreasing, but I feel like we can do so much more to help. 100% will go to LifeLink, a Japanese Mental Illness foundation. Please join me in making a difference.
